I know I am going to be a sobbing mess on Friday. There were moments during tonight's call when I was glad Mercedes did most of the talking because I was choking up. Milena wasn't saying anything very heartfelt but the tone of her voice made me tear up. Boy am I in trouble.
The girls sounded very excited tonight. They supposedly had a party on Sunday. I am not sure if the party was for them or for something else. Tomorrow is their last day of school (in Colombia).
We all want this adoption to happen sooner than later. Sucena could not totally understand why if we were coming to Colombia tomorrow, why we couldn't get them tomorrow. She also was lobbying to go out to a restaurant on Friday. Mirellen was wondering if we all would take a plane at some point. Yessica wanted to know if the kids in the US wore different kinds of clothes. (not sure) We are not sure if these wonderful questions are just their imaginations or are part of what they have been told in the run up to the adoption by social workers. They sound well prepared. We are very fortunate. We told them we would be there at 10:30 on Friday morning. I hope we keep that promise, and don't get there too late. They have waited long enough.
This laptop is having fits so if we start inserting words out of order than what would make sense it is because our computer is acting odd. We don't have time to fix it. If this reads a bit jumbled, it is not just because of my emotional state.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, especially Bama and our parents. Your support and prayers have helped make this wonderful time happen.
