We made it! After 12 hours of travel and very little sleep last night. We left our home in Sun Prairie at 6:45 this morning and we arrived at the Medellin airport at 8:38 at night. All flights were fine, Alex had to deal with a cranky guy during the Chicago-Miami portion of the trip that had his seat all the way back and complained Alex was pushing his seat with his Knees. Poor Alex He is very tall and those seats are pretty small. Luckily there was one seat open so the guy moved. (the flight was pretty full). We had Cuban food in the Miami airport. . The flight to Medellin was nice, very few people and everyone in the airport was nice and pleasant. Immigration and customs were a breeze compared to other places we have been to like Mexico and Costa Rica. Hopefully we won't gain to much weight with all the great food around here, from what I can see in the few minutes I've been here they seem to pride themselves for the quality of their baked products, even the hotel has it's own bakery! (I'm in trouble)
We are in a beautiful hotel close to the airport. We are extremely tired but excited about tomorrow when we will meet the girls, so we don't know how much sleep we will be able to sleep. For now, good night-- our time is the same as yours so that helps.
