Other refections on calling

We found out in the call the other night that the girls had grown more than we expected. Yesica (10) will have plenty of clothes to choose from, but Milena is now a size 14 (larger than we had asked people to donate). If we have the conversions right Milena already has a bigger shoe than Mercedes.

It was wonderful to call the girls again and to hear how excited they are becoming about the adoption. Sucena was much less inhibited and seems to be warming up to the idea. It seems like she has a bunch of friends at the orphanage that she will leave behind and is part of the reason she is more hesitant. It was also nice to share the phone call with Julia and Anna (and Ginny). I hope it helped the Brown-Martin girls make the connection about their new cousins.

Thursday we called Laura using our newest (to us) laptop computer and the Skype system. I think we have some basic kinks worked out and we look forward to calling others. So far it seems that Vuchetiches, Manuel/Maria/Mine, and the Kneusels have skype. If there are others who would like to converse with us using skype while we are in Colombia, please shoot us an email and we will try to get you on our list. It was great fun to talk to Laura and the three boys at the same time, much easier to catch up that way.

Our next conversation with the girls will be Thursday. We are less than two weeks from traveling to Colombia and 2 weeks from today we will meet and be with the girls.
